WOVEN WAVES
Studio Jaskółka, July 2026, Warsaw
Woven Waves was an exhibition presenting a series of jacquard-woven textile compositions that explore the relationship between colour, texture, movement and perception. Inspired by the rhythms and energy of sound waves, the works translate invisible acoustic phenomena into tactile, visual forms.
Developed through extensive experimentation with industrial jacquard weaving, the textiles feature undulating reliefs, intricate structures and subtle colour transitions that shift with the viewer’s perspective. Contrasting yarns and their distinct material properties create surfaces that appear to shimmer and pulsate, inviting a closer, multisensory encounter with the material.
Presented alongside furniture at Studio Jaskółka in Warsaw, the works occupy a space between textile art, collectible design and functional objects for interiors. Framed in oak, they combine the visual presence of paintings with the depth, tactility and acoustic qualities of woven surfaces.
The exhibition brought together the six-piece Woven Waves series and selected earlier works, reflecting the ongoing investigation into the sensory potential of textiles and the interplay between material, technology and perception.
