Handwoven Tapestry

Date / 2020
This project explores the possibilities offered by working on a frame loom. Although the process is highly time-intensive, it enables the creation of richly three-dimensional textile surfaces.

This method allows for great material freedom, with virtually any material suitable for both warp and weft. Warp threads can be detached and reattached at any stage, making the process fluid and adaptable.

Similar to sculpting, this approach to weaving facilitates the development of relief-like structures, transforming the textile into a tactile, spatial form.
