This project aimed to give the sensation of being in a forest and touching textures found there.

The process was divided into steps. The first step consisted of collecting visual references in the form of video and sound taken in a forest. The collected media were a starting point to the process of creating textiles. To design the woven pieces, the pattern and the bindings were developed. The pattern came directly from images of moss, tree bark and stones covered by lichens.

The final result is a collection of three pieces. Each example explores how the textiles behave when they are used for covering a three-dimensional form. The pieces also show the spectrum of different textures, sometimes soft, sometimes rough, depending on the weaving bindings and the material.
